Raindrop Therapy Technique


Words cannot accurately describe the total sensory experience of a Raindrop Therapy session, but they can describe the health benefits.


During Raindrop Therapy, a series of therapeutic grade Young Living Essential Oils are dripped along the spine. Each oil is smoothed up the spine and back muscles using light feathering strokes, called “effleurage”. Then massage techniques are used to help the body absorb the oils by loosening and warming the muscles and skin.


Raindrop Therapy is a powerful, non-invasive technique using the antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory action of several key essential oils. All of the oils in Raindrop Therapy synergistically combine to simultaneously:

  • kill viral and bacterial pathogens

  • reduce inflammation

  • support the immune system

  • ease respiratory discomfort

  • relax stressed muscles

  • curb digestive upset

  • relieve body and joint discomfort

  • balance energy

  • restore calm

  • increase the ability to concentrate


A growing amount of scientific research show that micro-organisms, such as viruses and bacteria, lodge near the spinal cord contributing to deformities like scoliosis. A healing crisis may occur when an individual first begins a healing process. The symptoms you may experience is called a crisis.


What is a Crisis?

This is when symptoms resurface as the dis-ease is pulled up through the body to help facilitate its release. Additionally, a crisis can occur when healing happens too quickly for the body to compensate. Both of these situations are not life threatening and are temporary situations!


What are the Symptoms?

One may experience some minor discomforts or side effects during this part of the healing. Symptoms may include:

  • Headache

  • Nausea and stomach ache

  • Muscle aches or flu like symptoms

  • Detoxification

  • Fatigue or tiredness

  • Emotional release

  • Increase in emotions or vurnability


How does One Prevent a Crisis?

We can't always prevent this from happening, but we can minimize its affects by:

  • Knowing and permitting this element of the healing process to happen, an individual allows themselves to be a part of the process. This is better than suppressing it back down into the body where it can reside and manifest. So the more accepting of the process the better.

  • Drinking plenty of water, taking care of self and getting the rest and food the body requires.


I see this often with the Raindrop Technique Sessions. The oils not only detox and energetically align the body, but allow for the release of emotions stored in the body on a very deep subconscious level. And thus Raindrop is a very effective emotional healing technique.
